projects worldwide and driving innovation to achieve climate objectives. This role involves performing detailed analyses and calculations for floating structures in marine environments, ensuring our renewable energy systems meet high operational standards.


Havkraft is seeking individuals with experience in simulating and analysing floating structures in a marine environment. Responsibilities and tasks:

  • Hydrostatic and Hydrodynamic Analysis 
  • Motion Response Analysis
  • Mooring Analysis
  • Static and dynamic analysis for verification of systems constraints and operability
  • Structural analyses, calculations, and design reports
  • Documentation of strength and design in accordance with governing regulations and specifications
  • Problem-solving of existing and new products and systems.
  • Prepare reports, plans, procedures and manuals for marine operations
  • Create documentation packages for fabrication.
  • Monitor fabrication including quality, progress, and deadlines
  • Support tenders and studies with engineering activities

Desired qualifications:

  • Technical education M.Sc preferably related to Marine Technology / offshore industry (Ships, Aquaculture, Renewable Energy, Oil and Gas)
  • High level of hydrodynamics knowledge
  • Familiarity and interest in hydrodynamics, structural engineering, and analysis tools (Orcaflex, Ansys, WAMIT)
  • Experience with Autocad
  • Experience with relevant key design codes, standards, and regulations
  • Experience from marine operations and hydrostatic/hydrodynamic analyses
  • Enthusiasm and diligence in delivering scope
  • Enthusiasm for engineering, technology and problem solving
  • Independent, proactive and structured
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written
