Join us for a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and acquire extended competence in a fully integrated ship management company!

Westfal-Larsen Management AS is searching for a candidate for a summer internship from 16 June to 15 August 2025 at the Fleet Management Department.

The main subject is decarbonization and you will take part in projects, get specific tasks, and contribute to the decarbonization strategies. At the end of the internship, you will present the findings for the senior management.

Work topics:

Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII)

Create a strategic road map for CII compliance

  • Define actions that can ensure compliance in the short/medium/long term
  • Calculate and compare costs
  • Conduct feasibility studies of decarbonization measures

Propeller optimization and de-rating main engine

Make a concept study

  • Explain the concept and theory

Fuel efficiency

Update the SEEMP and take part in

  • energy efficiency and fuel performance analysis
  • automation of the fuel performance indicators

Ship Management

  • Day-to-day follow up with ship management

Relevant competences for the summer internship

  • Studies at NTNU within Marine Technology; currently in 3rd or 4th year.
  • Good communication skills in both spoken and written English and Norwegian.
  • Well-organized, accurate and self-driven.
