SUMMER INTERNSHIP
Small, but very exciting company!
Rán Offshore is a small management company operating one tug and five barges in the North Sea, Mediterranean and West Africa. The fleet of barges consists of four modern standard North Sea barges 91x27m, and one 122x36m ballastable barge. The tug is a 30x11m towing tug with 72T bollard pull. Our clients are typically major offshore construction companies like Aker Subsea, Saipem, Subsea 7, Heerema and Mammoet.
Rán has the overall responsibility of the commercial and technical operation of the tug and the barges, including ballasting operation in cooperation with our clients. The company has two ballast operators working on site, upon client’s request or for maintenance.
Rán Offshore is also celebrating it’s 10-year anniversary this year!
As a Summer Intern you will be involved in the following:
- Commercial activities, hereunder communicating with clients and brokers
- Chartering activities tugs and barges
- Planning of maintenance
- Assisting with the implementation of a new HSEQ/Maintenance system
- Follow up on-going projects
- Communication with class companies (DNV/ABS)
- Coordination of ballasting operations
- Compliance activities related to the ISM-code, ISO 9001 and 14001
Working language is English, but Norwegian (and English) in the office.

We offer a very exciting internship, and we believe this is the perfect place for anyone wanting to learn a lot of different parts of the offshore business. Market salary. Flexible working hours, but mostly 0800-1600. Period: mid-June to end of July/early August.
