Are you finishing your engineering degree and are ready to dive into real projects from day one? Dive into your engineering career with DeepOcean – and help shape the future of sustainable ocean services!

At DeepOcean, we’re looking for curious, ambitious, and solution-oriented graduates to join our Methods Engineering team. This is your opportunity to grow into a role where your ideas are valued, your development is prioritized, and your work truly makes an impact.

We're especially keen to hear from forward-leaning talents who want to be part of a dynamic environment where you’ll be trusted, challenged, and supported every step of the way. Our people are our primary assets, and we differentiate ourselves with our can-do attitude!

What we do at DeepOcean

We work below the surface – literally. From Subsea Construction to Inspection, Maintenance and Repair (IMR), Survey, Cable Installation and Recycling, we keep things running smoothly on the seabed. But we’re not stopping there. We are diving into the future with exciting projects within Offshore Renewables, Seabed Minerals and new technologies.

With over 200 engineers in Norway, and a center of excellence located in Haugesund, we’re proud to be at the forefront of the ocean services industry – enabling the energy transition and sustainable use of ocean resources.

What you'll do as a Methods Engineer

From the beginning, you'll be a key player in operational projects. You’ll:

  • Plan and execute marine operations, including organizing mobilsations and develop commercially and technically optimized solutions that meet both client and company expectations
  • Follow up design, fabrication, and mobilization of subsea tools and structures
  • Prepare project documentation in line with standards and client requirements
  • Participate in offshore vessel operations – a great opportunity to see your work in action, if it suits your lifestyle and preferences
  • Communicate directly with clients and internal teams, including providing timely updates and documentation
  • Improve project procedures and ensure HSEQS compliance

You won’t be thrown in without support – but we’ll trust you with real responsibility early on. Independence is encouraged, and your ideas will be heard.

Who we’re looking for

We don’t expect you to know everything yet – but we’re looking for:

  • A B.Sc. or M.Sc. in a relevant engineering discipline, e.g. mechanical engineering or marine technology
  • Fluent English skills (written and spoken)
  • A curious, responsible and proactive mindset

You’ll thrive here if you:

  • Take initiative and like solving challenges
  • Enjoy working in a team and learning from others
  • Adapt easily to change and are open to trying new things
  • Follow through on your commitments and deliver what you promise
  • Bring a systematic and methodical approach to your work
