We are looking for graduates or early career project engineers who are eager to work with Hydrodynamics and Structural Analyses. At Kongsberg Maritime, you will join an inclusive and collaborative environment where your ideas are valued, and your contributions make a difference. What matters most is that you are curious, motivated, and ready to learn. As a Project Engineer in our Advanced Marine Operations (AMO) department, you will be involved in exciting projects from planning to execution. You will help combine our industry expertise with advanced digital tools and dynamic simulations. We are looking for someone who is self-driven, eager to grow, and open to new challenges. AMO is recognized globally for its engineering and consultancy services. We specialise in supporting marine operations and floating production systems through advanced dynamic simulations. Our expertise includes the analysis of riser and umbilical systems, power cables, and the design and commissioning of riser integrity monitoring solutions. We deliver real-time decision support tools for drilling operations, integrated with other KONGSBERG bridge systems.

Offshore wind is a growing focus area for us. We are actively developing concepts for efficient wind turbine installation, such as pull-in and towing operations, and we carry out analyses of related systems including floater behavior, mooring configurations, and power cable response.

Start date: Flexible, ideally in the second half of 2026.

What you will work on:

  • Project engineering from planning to execution
  • Modelling and simulation of dynamic systems
  • Developing digital tools for internal and external use
  • Data analysis and processing
  • Supporting tender preparation and client communication
  • Offshore work related to marine operations

We work with clients around the world. If you are interested in international experience, there are opportunities to spend time in Rio de Janeiro or Houston to support specific projects and exchange knowledge.

  • Good grasp on Python, Excel or similar for data science and data processing
  • Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written

  • Adhere to company rules and procedures and execute plans with commitment and determination
  • Use a methodical and systematic approach, plan, define clear priorities and allocate resources effectively
  • Analyze complex issues and problems, and come up with rational judgments
  • Co-operate well with others, share knowledge, experience, information and support others in the pursuit of team goals

What we can offer
