Want to work on real boats, real data, and real engineering challenges this summer — and help accelerate the transition to zero-emission maritime transport?

At Pascal Technologies, we develop cutting-edge technology that makes electric boats and ships both high-performance and energy efficient. We are now looking for motivated students who want to join us over the summer and help develop the next generation of energy-efficient vessels.

Our patented AirHull® air-cushion technology reduces hydrodynamic resistance and can double the range of electric planing boats. Combined with advanced electric powertrains and air-lubrication systems for large ships, we are redefining what sustainable maritime transport looks like.

About the role

You will become part of Pascal’s technical team, responsible for all onboard software, electronics, hydrodynamics and associated support systems. Your work will span the entire value chain from low-level control systems to cloud-based monitoring and user interfaces.

You will work on real vessels, real data, and real engineering challenges.

Possible responsibilities

(We do not expect you to know everything in advance — motivation and willingness to learn are key.)

  • Implementation of software and control systems for our products
  • Electrical engineering: hardware selection, PCB design, and integration
  • Backend and frontend development for onboard HMI and cloud-based analysis tools
  • Analysis of operational data to improve performance and efficiency
  • User insight gathering and design of onboard user interfaces
  • Automation system development and implementation

Who we are looking for

  • 3rd–4th year students in:
  • Cybernetics
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Marine Engineering
  • Computer Science
  • Data Science
  • Industrial Design
  • Motivated, self-driven, and curious
  • Interested in product development and sustainability

What we offer

  • Hands-on work with next-generation electric vessels
  • The opportunity to test and drive our boats in the Oslofjord during work hours
  • Opportunity for project work and master’s thesis (for 4th-year students)
  • A social, interdisciplinary work environment in a fast-growing maritime technology company
